AECOM Competes – the Food Bank WINS!

The Foodbank desperately needs the following:


·        Canned meat (tuna, chicken, salmon, etc.)


·        Vegetables (peas, green beans, corn, carrots, white potatoes, sweet potatoes)


·        Hot and cold cereals


·        Chunky style soups, stews, and chili


·        Spaghettios and ravioli


·        Macaroni and cheese


·        Rice (plain or side dishes)


·        Pasta (plain or side dishes)


·        Spaghetti sauce


·        Canned fruits (pineapple, peaches, pears, etc.)


·        Fruit juice (plastic containers)


 


If you choose to donate money, your


·        $1.00 will provide 5 meals through the Distribution Center and network agencies


·        $1.50 will provide a meal for child at a Kids Café


·        $5.00 will provide a shut-in elderly neighbor with a home-delivered meal


·        $10.00 will provide a child with enough food for 6 weekend meals through the Backpack Program


 


The Foodbank has ample supply of pumpkin and cranberry sauce.  J


 


One out of 8 people in America suffers from hunger.  Given our economy, the problem is more widespread than ever – affecting children, families, and senior citizens.  The need in our local community is up over 20% from last year.  The food you donate will make a real difference in the lives of so many.  With the holidays approaching the need only intensifies.  The Foodbank warehouse distributes over 50,000 pounds of food a day.   Each pound of food provides one meal to one person.!
