It’s All About Caring, Sharing & Giving Around The Holidays

The Innsbrook Foundation is grateful to be partnering with all our 2015 sponsors and over 250 volunteers.  We work hard to appeal to the business networking, wellness, education, recreation and social needs of the community.  By partnering with local charities and procuring community and corporate sponsors, we are able to create a critical connection with the Innsbrook Greater Richmond community.  A heartfelt Holiday thank you to all our 2015 foundation sponsors.

We are thankful for the many helpful hands in the form of sponsors, the many charitable initiatives, hundreds of volunteers, event staff and supportive Innsbrook board that work behind the scenes through both large and small contributions that come together to make a huge impact.  Together as a community, we have raised $1,762,288 in 2015 for charity.  And that’s the best “Thank You” card we could imagine.

Protect Your Packages

porch_pirateAlmost everyone shops online these days and you probably are waiting on a package to be delivered right now.  Unfortunately, thieves are waiting for these packages to be left all alone on your front porch too.  As soon as the delivery truck pulls off, they steal the packages.  Please be aware that the major delivery companies allow for package tracking.  The Henrico Police encourage you to track your package and know when it is delivered.  Ask a responsible neighbor to collect the package for you or have them move it to a hidden location at your house.  Please also consider having your package delivered to your place of employment during the day.  This ensures that it is accounted for immediately and limits the chance of having it stolen from your home.  Although this may create some extra work for a small few in the business, we ask that the employers work with their employees and allow this service so we can eliminate theft throughout the county.

As a reminder, if you see someone acting suspiciously, please don’t hesitate to call the police.  “See something, say something.” Our non-emergency number is 804-501-5000.

Innsbrook’s Great Pumpkin Palooza 2015!

HUGE Success at Innsbrook’s Great Pumpkin Palooza 2015!
Innsbrook’s Great Pumpkin Palooza was a HUGE success from start to finish! Thank you to everyone who attended or participated in any way.  Whether you were in full costume winning prizes in the costume contest, finding success navigating the giant rock wall or exploring your inner cowboy via horseback, we were thrilled to have seen so many smiling and painted faces throughout the day.  We also want to recognize our amazing, young contestants in the 2nd Annual Punkin Dunkin competition, as this year’s flying pumpkins reached incredible new distances.  Three different catapults constructed by Highland Springs High School’s Center for Engineering and Highland Springs Technical Center, could be seen propelling pumpkins through the air, the winning launch hitting a new record of over 700 feet! Congrats to all who participated in this impressive showcase of technical talent.

Jazz Bands from The Steward School and Godwin High School rocked the stage all day in our Battle of the Bands contest, with School of Rock and Main Street Station adding great sets in between.  Judges declared a tie for the title as “Best Jazz Band”; however each school was recognized for their individual talents.  Godwin High was awarded points for “Best Stage Presence” and “Best Jazz Ensemble & Vocalist” and Steward School was highlighted as “Best Jazz Varsity” and won “Best Song Selections”.palooza_pics_001

Thank you to everyone who donated to our charity partner, American Cancer Society, with your help we were able to raise money to contribute to their great efforts in the fight to end cancer.  With such a memorable event, we would like to thank Lingerfelt Commonwealth Partners, Summit Media and our many wonderful sponsors who made this day possible.  Also, a big thank you to our local food/beverage vendors for satisfying our cravings all day, as well as our craft vendors for providing the many activities and entertainment that were enjoyed by all.  We appreciate your support and look forward to many exciting events together!

A HUGE congratulations to all of our competiors! After 8 weeks of encouragement and hard work, our participants in this popular weight-loss challenge are walking a little taller and MUCH lighter these days.  Contestants came from all over the Richmond West End to work with a team of co-workers and friends to motivate themselves and change their lifestyles.  2015 was no different with individuals losing up to 30+lbs and 8 inches off their waistline.
