32 years and still going strong, that’s the Richmond Corporate Games! The competition began Friday, September 22, with the popular canoe relay, and continued into Saturday, September 23. It all came down to the wire with an intense Tug-O-War match for first place in the A League. We congratulate Dominion Energy on their incredible feats on the field and for coming out in first place in the A League! After even more intense gameplay, Singlestone came out on top for the B League!A huge shoutout goes out to every team who competed and made the Richmond Corporate Games 2017 the most memorable yet!
We want to thank everyone who participated as an athlete, sponsor, volunteer or spectator! THANK YOU for making this year’s games so memorable for so many and for helping to contribute to our charity partner, Special Olympics Virginia.
This is the biggest and best adult field day with opportunities to build teamwork among your co-workers and enjoy a great day in Innsbrook. You don’t have to be an athlete to be a part of the Richmond Corporate Games!
Get your fellow coworkers to sign up for the games this year! It’s never too early to start preparing your team for the 2018 Corporate Games! There are several slots available to Richmond area corporations to sponsor team consisting of a minimum of 14 employees (seven women and seven men) and a maximum of 20.

The games include classics like Volleyball, an Obstacle Challenge, Tug-O-War, and many more favorites, like the Zany Relay! We also featured a new game this year: HUMAN FOOLSBALL! Test your teamwork, strategy and coordination as you pass a soccerball among your teammates while trying to be the first team down the field and across the goal line! See if you can not only be the winning team but also get a perfect score of 30 points!
The Richmond Corporate Games would like to thank some of our team members who have truly helped to shape the games into what they are today. You may recognize Scott Carter as the MC for the games. This year’s games mark Scott’s 31st year as MC. While Scott’s hyping up crowds on the mic, Celeste Joyce is working hard behind-the-scenes. This year, Celeste will be keeping score and running statistics for the games for the 30th year in a row. A huge thank you goes out to Scott and Celeste for their dedication and service in making the Richmond Corporate Games a truly special event for the entire RVA community. Special thanks also to our volunteer referees, Michael Swain and Jay Morris, who keep order on the field while keeping the games fun and exciting!

Aside from the fun, competition and camaraderie among all the participants, the primary purpose of the games is about raising money for the Special Olympics Virginia. It’s about the dynamic of bringing people together as they offer their time, talents and financial resources in a program of people helping people – and this teamwork has raised well over $100,000 since 1998 for the Special Olympics Virginia.
Whether you are a competitor, fan supporting your favorite team or a volunteer, these games are fun-filled and exciting for everyone who attends.
