Best Pumpkin Palooza EVER… See you next year!
It was nonstop Palooza with the community rolling in right up until the last minute of the festivities! Nearly 4,000 attendees showed up to the Saturday, October 28 Pumpkin Palooza on a spooktacularly boo-tiful day! The pumpkin launcher was a real crowd-pleaser with pumpkins soaring over 300 feet across Lake Rooty. There were hundreds of costumes- all of them winners! From cabbage patch kids to baby lions, minions, and princesses, this year’s costumes were truly over the top! PLUS over two dozen pets showed up in costume in a truly amazing show of creativity including a carriage filled with “baby” yorkies in costume! The Godwin High School Jazz Band was amazing and was victorious in the Battle of the Bands Contest with The Steward School Jazz Band in close second in a riveting competition that truly came down to the last note! That’s not all! The music from Emma and Eli Band and Five Second Rule truly brought down the house!
This Year’s Lineup Was Better Than Ever!
With over 700 pumpkins supplied by Publix Super Markets, this year’s Pumpkin Palooza was more pumpkin fun than ever before! From relaxing moments by the water with a fall brew, to the Battle of the Bands contest, costume contests, amazing artisan market, Punkin Dunkin, Pumpkin bowling and pumpkin decorating, this year’s Palooza was packed with family fun and was truly a spectacular sight to see! Whether you’re 9 or 90, a toddler or an executive, you won’t be able to resist the excitement at the annual Pumpkin Palooza! There is always something for everyone, including everyone’s favorite apple-launcher with the chance to “get set, aim, and hurl” your apples across Lake Rooty into a target for fun prizes! The community pumpkin launcher was a hit with people lining up to soar pumpkins over 300 feet through the air!
This year’s event benefitted the Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation which is a beacon of hope for those who are affected by teenage depression and anxiety.
