Utility Programs – Dominion Energy:

Stephen Lackey is one of the analysts in Dominion’s Energy Conservation group.  He has been with the group for about three years now, working to launch the Energy Conservation programs and providing communications and daily support to keep the programs successful.  Stephen will discuss the best energy conservation measures available and what you might expect from Dominion for future Energy Conservation programs.

 

Commercial Buildings Opportunities – Teng Solutions:

J.  Christopher Larry (PE, CEM, CEP, CIPE, LEED AP) is an expert in Energy Conservation and Sustainability.  He will discuss why conservation is important and what opportunities you can investigate to reduce the energy costs of your buildings.  He will address benefits of improved comfort, reduced operational costs, greenhouse gas reduction as well as helping the environment.

 

Residential Energy Opportunities – ProEnergy Consultants:

John Jennings will discuss how energy is consumed in your home and what are some of the most common ways to control or manage wasteful energy consumption in your home.

 

Each speaker will discuss these subjects for 15 minutes and will receive comments and have discussion for the last 15 minutes.  This will be a great chance for you to learn about energy use and how you can affect the environment in a positive way.

 

Online Go Green Sale Order Pickup – Wednesday, April 13, 11 a.m.  – 2 p.m., Highwoods Plaza 4470 Cox Rd.  Pre-sale online orders for recycling bins, composters and rain barrels end Monday, March 21.  Orders will be ready for pickup April 13.  No on-site sales available.

  • Shredding Services  – Thursday, April 14th, 11 a.m.  – 3 p.m., Highwoods Plaza, 4470 Cox Rd.  Gather your old documents and join us for free shredding services offered by The Main Street Group, managed and secured by Cintas.
  • Goodwill E-Recycling, Household Donations & Aluminum Can Collections Thursday, April 14, Highwoods Plaza, 4470 Cox.  Rd.  from 9 a.m.  – 5 p.m.  Grab all those old electronics and household goods and we will recycle it up for a good cause.   Aluminum cans will also be collected and donated to Habitat for Humanity & PopTops will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities.  To get collection boxes for your office to continue your support, CLICK HERE.
  • 5th Annual Lake Clean-Up Day – Friday, April 15, 11:30 a.m.  – 2 p.m.  at 4900 Cox Rd.  & 4470 Cox Rd.  Sign-up to keep Innsbrook’s lakes beautiful by collecting trash surrounding all three lakes at Innsbrook.  All volunteers will receive a brown bag lunch and a certificate of appreciation signed by the governor.  Please RSVP your participation to wendy.walton@highwoods.com.
