Organizers Joyce Lawler and Pat McCullough worked hard to see that the yard sale was a great success. The Troop Support Project at Dominion Virginia Power raised approximately $1,550.00 while the remaining household items were donated to Hanover's Habitat for Humanity and the clothing benefited the Salvation Army of Richmond. Books that had been donated but not purchased during the event will be boxed up and sent to the troops overseas. "Everyone got something good from it. We hope to do this event again in the near future and will be looking for more shoppers and volunteers."
