Aside from the fun, competition and camaraderie among all the participants, the primary purpose of the games is about raising money for the Special Olympics Virginia.  It’s about the dynamic of bringing people together as they offer their time, talents and financial resources in a program of people helping people – and this teamwork has raised well over $100,000 since 1998 for the Special Olympics Virginia.

Whether you are a competitor, fan supporting your favorite team or a volunteer, these games are fun-filled and exciting for everyone who attends.

September Executives’ Breakfast Speaker: Henrico County Manager John Vithoulkas

August Executives Breakfast for site

Get ready for yet another fantastic discussion at the Innsbrook Executives’ Breakfast on September 21st! This month’s speaker is Henrico County Manager John Vithoulkas, who will present “The State of the County.” With a unique perspective on Innsbrook and the surrounding Henrico County area, this discussion is one you won’t want to miss.  Directly following the breakfast meeting, we will be making presentations to two local charities as a result of our recent Taste of Virginia 2017.  It will be an action-packed meeting!

John Vithoulkas has worked for Henrico since 1997 as a budget analyst, budget director, finance director and deputy county manager for administration, as well as special economic adviser to the county manager.  Before coming to Henrico, he worked as a police planner and then assistant budget director in Gaston County, N.C.  He also served as a lead budget analyst in Chesterfield County.  After leaving Chesterfield County in 1997, John came to Henrico as Budget Analyst.  He was promoted to Budget Director in 1999 and, in 2007, was promoted to Finance Director.  With his experience and knowledge of the county’s budget, he became a Special Economic Adviser to the County Manager in 2009 and then Deputy County Manager two years later.  In January of 2013, John’s vast experience as budget and finance director culminated with his appointment to the position of County Manager, overseeing a budget of $1.1 billion.  Mr.  Vithoulkas was born in Athens, Greece and grew up right here in Henrico and attended J.R.  Tucker High School.  He received his Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  John and his wife live in Glen Allen with their three children, 2 of which attend Virginia colleges.

As an added bonus Jeff Fitch, last month’s speaker and Sales Manager for the PGA TOUR Champions and the Dominion Energy Charity Classic, has donated 2 grounds passes to the Dominion Energy Charity Classic golf tournament at the Country Club of Virginia’s James River Course to be raffled off at this month’s breakfast! Be sure to attend for fantastic discussions and a chance to win big!

Bringing the PGA TOUR Champions to RVA: the inside story

August Executives’ Breakfast

Dominion Charity classic

August Executives Breakfastforsite

Calling all golf enthusiasts! August 17th’s Executives’ Breakfast, featuring Jeff Fitch, is an event you won’t want to miss. Find out what the headlines won’t tell you at this month’s Breakfast with an inside look “behind the scenes” into the Dominion Energy Charity Classic, returning for its second year to the Country Club of Virginia’s James River Course in Henrico County.  Thank you to our August sponsor, Henrico EDA, the Henrico Economic Development Authority.

Jeff Fitch serves as a Sales Manager for the PGA TOUR and the Dominion Energy Charity Classic.  In this role, he is responsible for building community and corporate support for the PGA TOUR Champions tournament, which will be held in October on The Country Club of Virginia’s James River Course.

Prior to joining the PGA TOUR, Jeff served for 11 years as the Director of Development and Corporate Sponsorship for the Sports Backers.  Working alongside his peers at the nationally recognized sports commission, Jeff helped strengthen the sports landscape in the Richmond region by working on events like Dominion Riverrock, the Anthem Richmond Marathon and the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k.

The second-annual PGA TOUR event will be played October 19 – 22, 2017 at the Country Club of Virginia, James River Course.  The top 72 players from the regular season will travel to Richmond to compete.  Among this year’s returning PGA TOUR golfers are Fred Couples, Bernhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie, John Daly, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Tom Lehman and Kenny Perry.

In 2016, Scott McCarron birdied the first playoff hole in dramatic fashion to win the inaugural Dominion Energy Charity Classic.  We will look for more golf excitement as the PGA returns to Richmond to write golf history.

Enjoy a little breakfast while hearing a “hole” lot about the PGA TOUR event coming to Richmond.

TOVA Supports The National Multiple Sclerosis Society

Not only does Innsbrook Taste of Virginia provide delectable food for you and your family, this event helps support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body.  The National MS Society’s mission is: People affected by MS can live their best lives as we stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost and end MS forever.  Bring your friends and family to support this important cause! In 2016, a total of $15,908.00 was raised at the event to donate to Feedmore which will provide approximately 79,540 meals for children, families, and seniors who are hungry.  We could not have done it without the generous support of over 6,000 people in attendance! We would also like to thank all of the sponsors who made this event possible! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported Innsbrook’s first Taste of Virginia 2016.

Markel Corporation In Innsbrook Reaches Another Milestone!

Congratulations to Markel Corporation on being named “The Third Stock to Reach $1,000 This Year” by the Wall Street Journal on July 3, 2017.

Markel Corporation is one of Innsbrook’s initial startup companies, around since 1986 that helped shape Innsbrook’s future, to become named one of Richmond’s Fortune 500 companies in 2016.  Today, Markel can seem like a complex organization, but their main operation is insurance with 60 offices in 20 countries, and to think it all started right here in Innsbrook.  We would like to recognize Markel on reaching another milestone as a part of the Innsbrook Community.
